About Hexa Noir

Hey, I’m R Zayah — the creator behind Hexa Noir.

Hexa Noir was created from my love of alternative fashion, dark aesthetics, and a desire to see more melanated bodies represented in spaces where we have always existed, but haven't always been seen.

Even the name carries that intention. Hexa draws from the Greek héx, meaning six, while Noir means black in French. Together, the name became my own play on darkness, symbolism, and melanin — taking imagery that has often been treated as sinister or forbidden and reclaiming it through Black creativity, individuality, and style.

Hexa Noir is for the people who don't need to choose between being alternative and being themselves. The weird ones. The witchy ones. The horror lovers. The beautifully unconventional. We were always here. Hexa Noir simply makes sure we're seen.
